Notes:

The drawing was acquired with an autograph note by Howard which reads: "1. Rising of the Pleiades / "Now from the height of their paternal mount / The Atlantic Sisters, in their wonted course / Prepare to join the starry Host of Heaven / Turning symphoniously their mighty hymn / To Jove, the best and greatest" / Price 200 Gs with frame". The note probably refers to the painting.
