Notes(s):

From the 1511 Latin edition of the Apocalypse with the letterpress text of chapters ten and eleven on the reverse. The image derives from verses in chapter seven following on from The Opening of the Fifth and Sixth Seals. The idea of giving the angels swords (not mentioned in the text) probably came from the illustration in the 1483 Koberger Bible.
