Essick suggests that this impression may have been reproduced (heads only) in Alexander Gilchrist, 'Life of Blake', 1863, I, p. 256 and was perhaps in the possession of Herbert H. Gilchrist, who lent an impression to the Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, 'Examples of the English Pre-Raphaelite School of Painters, Including Rossetti, Burne-Jones, Madox-Brown and Others, Together with a Collection of the Works of William Blake', 8 December 1892, Philadelphia, 1892, no. 153.
