Notes:

Native to Australia. Ventenat says that it wintered in an Orangery and flowered in the summer. There were only three specimens at Malmaison, where another six species of Ficus were grown. The details show: 1, involucre cut lengthwise to show the scales at the top and the flowers which cover the sides; 2, male flower; 3, female flower. A print after this drawing was published in Ventenat's 'Jardin de la Malmaison', Paris, An XI [1803], pl. 114.
