Track by a Pool
Constable, John; draughtsman; British artist, 1776-1837
R.B. Beckett suggested orally to Reg Gedney (Worthing, 19 December 1965) a date of c. 1804. The motif in general is characteristic of the area around East Bergholt. Its technique, however, is close to that of Frost. (See 'documentation', 1976).
