Band sampler, linen, embroidered with linen polychrome silks, linen and silver metal thread in back, cross, buttonhole, double hem, eyelet, rococo, satin and needle lace filling stitches. The sampler comprises 16 horizontal bands of repeat border patterns, alphabets, the date '1691' and the initials 'MB'.
