Band sampler, linen, embroidered with linen thread and polychrome silks in buttonhole, eyelet, double running, double hem and satin stitch. The sampler comprises 29 horizontal bands of repeat border patterns, detached motifs, an alphabet and the inscription 'Elizabeth Stone 1658'.
